Valentine’s Day Event

• Starting Sunday (February 12th) some iconic Disneyland couples will be around the resort

• Every day if you find and talk to them, there’s a chance they give you “Sweetheart Tokens” to buy stuff from the Valentine’s Day shop

• Potential duos:
• Mickey and Minnie
• Flynn Rider and Rapunzel
• Wanda and Vision
• Ralph and Vanellope

• Other way to earn tokens: each day has a selected land. All rides in that day’s land have a chance to give you tokens
• There’ll be a multiplier if you ride with friends

• No quests for this event unfortunately

• Palentine’s event on the 11th, chance to earn tokens

• Sweetheart Nite
• You walk through the castle into Aurora’s castle ball!

Updates to top rider system

• As you know, all-time ride leaderboards are currently only available in the ride stats menu. “Hall of fame” is in the works

• Currently trying to figure out how to make it more personal
• A lot of rides have ride operators/dispatchers, so we’re working on a system that’ll take whoever the top rider is and put their skin into the costume of the “all-time top rider” so it’s like the top overall rider is working the ride!
• We have a set of skin/costumes, it takes your player’s face and stitches it onto the costume. Very cool stuff in the works by Mr. Unicorn
• Sorry if you ride a ride where there is no ride operator, but we will add ride operators onto rides where it would be somewhat applicable to add them

Milestones system

• This was going to be talked about in the Newswire, early leak alert!!

• Want to add more emphasis to ride milestones (e.g., 100 rides — both specific rides and overall)
• Milestones hit will be broadcast to everyone online
• Some milestones will have prizes attached (keys, etc.)
• Won’t be the same between rides (e.g., higher value prize for 100 rides on DLRR vs. 100 rides on Teacups)

• If you’re already at a milestone, it’ll apply any of the missed prizes for you when we add this system

Updates to hub

• You can go to DLR, DCA, Retro, and eventually Hotels from it

• Don’t even worry, Mouske left room for a hub train to be added:

• DLR and DCA are still on the same server, just with two different entry points on the hub to put you closer to each park’s respective entrance

• A little too far out from the release to say specifics, just in case plans change

• Will probably decorate the hub for events/holidays

• There will be lore in the hub. Lore is everywhere. Always.

All weekends = double weekends

• All weekends going forward will have double votes and ride multipliers
• Probably doubling donation rewards too

New voting stuff

• If it’s a double XP weekend, you’re earning a 1.5x multiplier for 30 minutes, not just 1.25x for 15 minutes

• Your spawn will now be back in the Esplanade, we’ve finished testing the castle spawn point!

• Cam wants to make it so, if you have the Christmas BTM train and get onto BTM, it’ll make the ride car appear like the Christmas one for you (only for you, not other riders)
• Want to explore adding “Ride Skins” — this is very far out, just a lil idea

• Quest writing competition and hotel building competition in Insiders perhaps soon?

• Some form of the Penthouse will be returning eventually

• No scooter update, Cam is SORRY!

• No Main Street Electric Parade update, Cam is SORRY!

• No Mario Kart Track update, Cam is SORRY!

• No set day for Hotels, but within the realm of possibility within the next few months
• Good idea of when it’ll be releasing, not ready to publicly share the date yet

• No new minigames yet, but have some ideas for new ones

• Previous year’s seasonal quests will not be coming back, as of right now

• Whenever Hotels are released, DTD will be expanded to accommodate the Grand Californian entrance

• Replaying quests is in our to-do list!

• Pancake pin is in the pack, Cam will send it out soon he is sorry!

• One day, far far away, when IASW is released, the secret entrance to Jharland will also be released. Cam has figured out how this will happen already.

• It would be hard to figure out a way to have item tracking for collectors, have talked about it in the past. Not sure yet

• When hotels release, there will be some sort of events — definitely build competitions

• Many ride captions are finished, we just need to update the system as soon as possible (hopefully sometime after the Newswire)

• New non-ride daily quests coming soon, conversations are happening about improving that
